DESCRIPTION: This resort is formerly known as Zaid's Place. It is located to the right of Salang's main jetty, walking for about 5 minutes to the southern end point of Salang beach. There is a gateway arch that welcomes you into the resort's compound.
FACILITIES: The resort has about 25 rooms. Most of the rooms are of double bed with attached baths, equipped with fans or air conditioners. The smallest room is a single unit with fan and attached bathroom. Other types of rooms equipped with fans are the garden view chalet, banana hill, and sea view chalet. Air conditioners can only be found at the premium rooms such as the triple units and family chalets.
There is a nice restaurant providing local and western meals. Just like Salang Indah Resort, there is also a mini market and gift shop. ATTRACTIONS: The resort's most prized asset is the beautiful Salang beach which is very accessible for the resort's guests. Within a short snorkeling away, an abundant variety of colorful marine life awaits you. Snorkeling and diving options are also available at Soyak Island which is visible from the resort. The beach also provides you with fantastic sunset view daily.
There are some good dive sites accessible from the village. Thus far, I've dived at Pulau Chebeh, Malang Rock, Salang Wreck (directly facing the resort by shore dive) as well as Salang Reef North. For snorkeling, walk to the southern section of the village at the sandy beach of Salang where some decent marine life could be found.
PRICING: The resort seems to offer room-only package, so please ask them if they do have 3D/2N or 4D/3N full board packages for you. Otherwise, for room-only prices, the single non air-conditioned unit costs RM80 per night, garden view chalet (RM60), banana hill fan chalet (RM75), sea view fan chalet (RM80), triple garden view air-conditioned chalet (RM150) and family chalet with air condition (RM180).
