DESCRIPTION:
This resort is not directly located on Salang beach. From the jetty, you walk straight towards the back-end of Salang village, passing by a small bridge. Salang Pusaka's reception building marks the entrance to the resort compound. This resort is formerly known as Khalid's Place.

FACILITIES:
There are about 44 chalets built from solid timber with close-knitted kampong-design to encourage guest interactions.

There are 12 twin sharing rooms with fans, 16 air-conditioned twin sharing rooms (of basic/standard/deluxe types), 7 air-conditioned triple sharing (deluxe), 4 air-conditioned quad sharing (deluxe), 2 air-conditioned family rooms and 3 air-conditioned basic rooms.

There is also a fantastic seafood restaurant at the resort, which I had a sumptuous feast of fresh-off-the-boat squids and fish grilled to perfection.

ATTRACTIONS:
The resort is not exactly fronting the beach, so one needs to walk to Salang beach on the southern section of Salang village for some good fun in the sun.

There are some good dive sites accessible from the village. Thus far, I've dived at Pulau Chebeh, Malang Rock, Salang Wreck (directly facing the resort by shore dive) as well as Salang Reef North. For snorkeling, walk to the southern section of the village at the sandy beach of Salang where some decent marine life could be found.

PRICING:
The resort offers 3D/2N and 4D/3N packages that include all meals (with one of the nights is for BBQ dinner), round-trip transfer to/from Mersing and one snorkeling trip. 3D/2N package starts at RM230 per person for non air conditioned room and RM320 per person for air conditioned one. Similarly, for 4D/3N package, RM290 per person for non air conditioned room, or RM410 per person for air conditioned one.

If you prefer to pay for room-only package (like I do), non air conditioned twin chalet will cost RM45 per night, air conditioned basic chalet (RM70), standard chalet (RM100), deluxe chalet (RM130), triple-sharing deluxe chalet (RM150), quad-sharing deluxe chalet (RM170), quin-sharing non air-conditioned basic chalet (RM130), quin-sharing deluxe (RM200), and quin-sharing family semi-detached (RM300).
