LOCATION:
This snorkeling spot is located right in front of Redang Reef Resort on Pantai Pasir Panjang. You can basically swim along the many boulder rocks to enjoy what the underwater scenery has to offer.

DESCRIPTION:
Regarded as one of the most accessible snorkeling spot in Redang. You can basically just jump directly underwater a few minutes after checking in at any of the resorts on Pantai Pasir Panjang.

The corals are quite healthy, although I saw some traces of coral rubbles probably due to occasional contacts with snorkelers fins. You can see staghorn corals, brain corals, boulder corals, table corals, etc.

The fish varieties are good if not prolific. I saw moon wrasse, scissortail sergeant, redlip parrotfish (Scarus rubroviolaceus), virgate rabbitfish, Bleeker's damsel (Chrysiptera bleekeri), eight-banded butterflyfish, etc.

I also saw a stingray (Dasyatis sp.) on the sandy bottom.
