DESCRIPTION:
Generally regarded as a run-of-the-mill resort situated at the best spot in Pantai Pasir Panjang (or Long Beach). It boasts some of the best house reef in town. There are 38 room units in total, spread in 3 blocks of double-storey long-houses (clearly it is catered more for budget travelers than honeymooners).

FACILITIES:
All rooms are air-conditioned but I found units to be very old (but they have upgraded the rooms since, with hot shower and timber-strip floors), attached bathrooms, a dive centre, a small mini-market, a common area for watching TV, a restaurant facing the beautiful ocean, etc.

ATTRACTIONS:
The resort is fronting the beautiful and crystal clear Pasir Panjang Beach where one can laze in the sun, swim or snorkel. The beach is long and wide, enough for your own personal space. The view is amazing.

Alternatively, I strongly recommend making a boat trip to the secluded Pasir Kalong Beach which offers amazing beach sans the crowd.

Snorkeling spots can also be found at the beach fronting the resort. Right by the resort's doorstep is a spot called Tanjung Mak Cantik which offers decent snorkeling experience between the boulder outcrops. To the far north is a popular snorkeling spot called Tanjung Tengah which is known for its colony of juvenile blacktip reef sharks.

PRICING:
I paid RM350 for a 3D2N package per person. Package includes boat transfer from Merang Jetty, 3 meals per day, 2 snorkeling trips, BBQ night.

Boats will depart from Merang Jetty at 0930hrs and returning from the island at 1100hrs. Departure times, as usual, may change. So, it is vital for you to check in-advance regarding any possible schedule amendment.
