DESCRIPTION:
At Jalan Larut in downtown Penang very close to the KOMTAR shopping mall. There are 237 well appointed rooms in this hotel of various classes, namely Superior, Deluxe, Corporate Club and Executive Suites.

This hotel was previously known as Sheraton Hotel.

FACILITIES:
The rooms are equipped with air condition, balcony, mini bar, TV with cable channels, study desk, hair dryer and high speed internet access. For shared facilities, you can enjoy its nice outdoor pool, sauna, massage center, nice lounges and covered parking.

Dorsett Hotel hosts 2 distinct restaurants serving eclectic cuisine. The Grove Brasserie is more towards international fares, mostly set in a buffet style. Then there is the Bee Won Korean Restaurant that provides a different culinary experience for the hotel guests. There are 2 main lounges in the hotel. Those fancy a cocktail time with buddies can head to Chances R Sports Bar and Lounge which boasts delectable drink assortment and DJ live music. The Trader's Lounge is more of a relaxing area but it also has a live band performing in the evening.

ATTRACTIONS:
The hotel is centrally located to almost everything Penang has to offer: the 60-storey KOMTAR building is right next to the hotel, some few minutes away are the various Penang's attractions.

A little out of the city are famous attractions such as the beaches at Tanjung Bungah and Batu Feringgi, as well as the popular Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera) and Botanical Garden.

PRICING:
The room usually comes with buffet breakfast. One night in the superior room starts at RM208, deluxe (RM228 per night), Corporate Club (RM265 per night) and Executive Suite (RM315 per night).
