LOCATION:
Pulau Payar (Payar Island) is located some 1-hour away from Langkawi's Kuah town by boat. Normally boat operators will depart from Kuah town around 9:00am and return back from Pulau Payar around 2:00pm.

DESCRIPTION:

Only snorkeling boats operated by Langkawi Coral will stop near this beach. Actually the boat will dock at the floating pontoon some meters off the beach where visitors will get the chance to jump directly into the water to enjoy the underwater scenes that Payar has to offer.

Naturally, while snorkeling, you can swim down to the beach. There are some beach chairs for sunbathing but not much else. The sand is quite soft and the water is crystal clear. There are some rocky enclave at parts of the beach.

The view is quite decent. Apart from the coral pontoon itself, you can also see the neighbouring islands that make up Payar Marine Park, such as Pulau Lembu, Pulau Kaca and Pulau Segantang.
