LOCATION:
Karang Bahar snorkeling spot is located to right hand side of the beach fronting D Coconut Lagoon Resort.

DESCRIPTION:

Actually, there isn't much to see here. Nonetheless, the area fronting  Coconut Lagoon Resort still has an average amount of marine life to see should you decide to embark for a leisure snorkel here.

The visibility wasn't that great during my trip. The water was rather shallow. For the first few metres of swimming, you will see nothing but coral rubles. Only after a while you will start to see patches of hard corals such as sea anemones, various types of acropora, table corals, false brain corals, sea cucumbers, etc.

The fish variety was also limited to the common ones, such as eight-striped butterflyfish (Chaetodon octofasciatus), bottom-dwelling banded blenny, common pacific sergeant, parrotfish, rabbitfish, etc.

Overall, the snorkeling experience here was rather average but it doesn't cost you anything should you would like to try it out, really.

MY RATING:
